When Your Drive Outpaces Your Body
In this article
There’s a particular kind of exhaustion that doesn’t come from doing too much. It comes from quietly wondering if any of it matters.
This week’s podcast conversation stopped me in my tracks. Not because it was about productivity or goals — but because it was about meaning.
And meaning changes everything.

Why This Matters
This week’s movement practice is for:
Long days at the office
Travel days on planes
Moments when standing workouts feel impossible
You can do this seated.
I could have recorded one of the short resets I personally use during the day — and I will soon — but I wanted to introduce you to another Qi Gong reset through one of my own instructors in case you want to explore the practice more deeply.
Seven minutes.
Seated.
Calm your mind and reduce stress.

“This Conversation Will Change How You Think About Your Entire Life”
with Mel Robbins and Ocean Vuong
Ocean Vuong — bestselling author of On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous and his newest novel The Emperor of Gladness— speaks about grief, identity, pressure, and the quiet ache of trying to become someone you think you “should” be.
This line stayed with me:
“A meaningful life is not a life that you use to prove to yourself or others that you are valuable. A meaningful life is finding the power and the value where you are.”
Read that again.
Not proving.
Not performing.
Not pushing harder.
Finding value where you are.
Why It Matters
So many high-performing women (and men) I coach aren’t burned out because they lack ambition. They’re burned out because they’ve been trying to prove their worth through output — while their body is quietly asking for partnership.
Meaning doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from alignment.

When Your Body Can’t Keep Up With Your Purpose
This week I launched my new masterclass — and the theme couldn’t align more with this podcast conversation.
If you’ve built a life that matters… But your body no longer feels like a partner in that success…
It’s not a discipline problem. It’s a design problem.
The Vitality Life Map™ was born from that realization — after 14 surgeries, cancer recovery, and rebuilding my own energy from the inside out.
The question that changed everything for me was this:
What if it’s not you… what if it’s your system?
When you fix the system, you free the person.
That’s what this work is about.
One Simple Shift This Week
Instead of asking: “What do I need to achieve next?”
Ask: “Where can I stop proving — and start aligning?”
Quote of the Week
"The meaning of life is not found in achievement, but in awakening.”
— Thich Nhat Hanh
Reflection Prompt
Where in your life are you trying to prove your value — instead of honoring it?
